Many will have a strong opinion one way or the other I am just going to share my experience and please keep in mind that I am healthy woman no meds, diabetes etc. Please keep in mind this is not a cookie cutter process no 2 people will experience the same things. There will be some commonalities perhaps but how you view it all will be you.
Success in detox as far are not eating is a large part the state of mind. If you really want to do this not eating should not be a big problem Did I get hungry? Sure my tummy grumbled, I drank water and moved on. Niether the cleansing ritual the not eating bothered me - I was doing this for me and no one else. Did the Ritual drinks taste delicious? no were they as discusting as some say - in my opinion no, but again thats me. One of my group members just completed her first detox and she said the first time she smelt the chlorophyll it reminded her of how the stuff smells that they clean out from under their lawn mower LOL. She did just fine. If you drink it fast and chase it with some water it is ok. Once again how are you perceiving it. I cannot answer your question about your blood sugar levels as I do not monitor mine.
Now the smoothies and soups
The smoothies are great. I have smoothies almost every single day since I started in Oct. and often 2 x's because they are easy. Favorite fruit, and protein powder and you have a great FL solo.
Soups: I made the recipe for carrot ginger soup in our book and loved it. It was easy to make and tasted really good. I keep some in the freezer for snacks and quick lunches all the time. I would add water to tomato soup and I would buy organic not campbells. The problem is your getting additives and sodium in prepackaged at least with organic your much safer in that area. None the less what ever you use again I would add water.
This is not like many of the cleanses you see or Lord have mercy the Lemonade Diet - that was brutal
You did not want to leave home if you get my drift! My routine as far as day in and day out did not change while detoxing as a matter of fact my first detox I was still a Retail Rep with a Company and I worked in the 3 local WalMart stores as well as Sam's Club - went about my normal day for the most part. Starting on Friday would give you the mental security of having the weekend which is great. Some find that the effects of the cleansing ritual don't pass (again I think your tracking with me) for up to mid 2nd day. Alot of that has to do with your toxin level and the water amount that you consume beginning with day one ( at least that is what I think).
Energy levels and exercise:
You could experience flu like symptoms and headaches the first couple days. You might feel very over all tired. Detox 1 and 2 I did experience this both times until into day 3. I am right in the middle of Detox #3 and have not experienced any of the above mentioned. Exercise - Listen to your body if you feel like it do it. Start easy though. I did not do any exercise during my first detox. 2nd one about half way through. This one I have stayed right on schedule. I just finished a treadmill run and the spent 24 minutes visiting with Robert and the gang (DVD). Your energy increase will come but again it is going to depend on you and you body somewhere around day 3 give or take.
I am not really wanting to advise you about your meds I will say this if you are normally taking them with foods than continue to do as such with your smoothies or snacks.
Now I have a question for you - did you listen to last weeks conference call? If you did I am repeating this and since I am not certain what you mean by the revised way I will go ahead a say this who knows it might have even been your question;
It was asked of Robert about detox and blood sugars droping. He stated that you can do detox do the cleansing rituals and us a Version B fatloss plate. I don't have it exactly so if this is not ringing a bell I would suggest re-listening today before it is removed from the site www.dietfreelife.com it is right shortly after Santita Jackson.
Ok there you have it my experience and thoughts on the Detox. I am a big fan of this why I don't know each time it has been a little different experience none bad all positive. Each time I feel different and more whole inside. Part of this I am sure has to do in part with the fact I use it as a time of fasting and prayer who know but only God. If I can help you in any other way I am here you know that, just give me an e-mail click or poke my profile page. Good Luck and let me know how it goes
Keep Looking Up And You Will Find Your Strength
Julianne, 4 months ago | FlagWow, I think you might be more of an expert on your body with the detox than any of us. If you are testing frequently
, you should be ok with the blood sugar, at least on the first half. I'm not sure about the 2nd half. Maybe stick to berries and grapefruit for the fruits. slow carbs. As far as the energy levels and when to stay home, I think it's very individual .
