This is a great support system and you are right about diets I have tried so many and lose a few and gain it back. Knowing I was not suppose to eat certain things and got tired and ate them anyway. My daughter has told me that I get down to a healthy size she will buy me my first 2 piece swimsuit. I haven't worn one since I was 15 yrs old and my parents still have the pictures. So I

So, It's been waaaaay too long since I've been on here.  I originally started this program October of 09, and did the 21DMM and then fizzled out becuase I got sick, and yeah, more excuses after that.  SO, I finally decided to start the program again this July, out of necessity, and just plain 'ol tired of being 'fat'.  I've been walking and doing Roberts burn and tone videos, and I've tried the kickboxing ONE time, and it kicked my butt!  So now that I'm beyond the 21DMM,  I'm still sticking to the principals of it because I am seeing MAJOR results.   In two months,, I lost.... 31 pounds!!!!!!  I'm so excited, and motivated to keep on going.  I have a VERY long road ahead of me, but that road is being conquered day by day.   I am so thankful to Robert for sharing this system with the world, it is literally changing my life.  And one day, when I meet my weight loss goals, I will be a success story.   FLFL FOR LIFE :)

The list that is contained in your FLFL System is the most updated in print.  I would suggest browsing through the snack and treat forum to look for new ideas.  Basically with snacks you can eat anything you desire as long as it is under 200 calories for women and 300 for men.  It does not have to be prepackaged food items, it can be juices, meats with cheese, veggies, fruits, homemade treats such as granola bars, energy bars, brownies, smoothies in the calorie range, soups, etc.

  • 42 inches of fat is GONE! 42 inches of fat is GONE!

    • From: minda5767
    • Description:

I have been on the FLFLS for a year.  When I started I was a size 22W which is not only big but it is OBESE.  I felt depressed and unhappy with myself.  I didn’t have any energy, I got out of breath and my blood pressure was up.  Since going on this system last September, I have lost a total of 45 lbs. and now am comfortable in a size 16.  My goal is to be a comfortable size 12.

I haven’t measured myself in a while, so I thought it was time to see where I am in my measurements. I have lost 45 pounds of weight. I have lost a total of 42 inches of FAT from my body.  That includes -6 inches from my waist, -7 inches from each thigh, -4 inches from each calf, -4 inches from under my breast (abs area), but I have only lost 1 inch from my breast.

I mention my breast as opposed to the abs because when I started on this journey, I asked the question “would I lose my breasts?”   I didn’t want them to turn into a flat tire.  I have never had large breasts and was very flat when I was skinny.  One of the positive things for me when I gained weight was that I finally had a more feminine figure.   That was not enough reason for me to stay overweight.

      So the good news is:

I have lost  4 sizes in my clothes (I say 4 because I am size 16 ladies and not a W).

I have lost 45 pounds (my goal is to lose 45 more pounds before I am done)

I have lost 42 inches of fat.

I have more energy, my blood pressure is back to normal, and I am eating food I love in a way so that I am still losing weight.

I am so thankful that we saw Robert Ferguson on that infomercial in August 2009.  He changed my life so I can be healthy, happy, and can love the food I eat in a way so I can be diet free for life.

One year ago today I officially started this journey I was hopeful, yet doubtful at the same time. This is what I have learned over the past year.

      1. I AM SO GLAD I BOUGHT THE FOOD LOVERS FAT LOSS SYSTEM.

      2. You really can eat great tasting food that you'll love and lose weight.

      3. You will meet some great people along the way and I still cannot believe how active and available Robert is for all of us. I never in my dreams would have thought that the creator of the system would personally be their to coach us along.

      4. Last year I was ignorant on how to live a healthy lifestyle. Today I am no longer ignorant so if I was to ever go back it would be no ones fault but my own.

      5. You can have you cake and eat it too. Just don't eat it all the time or eat way too much.

      6. I am so pleased with my progress, but still not satisfied. I want to be the best me I can be. GO ARMY!!!

      7. I still struggle with some of the thought processes and food choices I had a year ago, but I know what to do about it and better yet I know what the choices will do to me.

      8. DID I MENTION, "I AM SO GLAD I BOUGHT THE FOOD LOVERS FAT LOSS SYSTEM."

      9. I love my Food Lovers Friends and I love being healthier.

      10. Nutrition and Fitness are important, but nutrition and resistance helps weight loss and body composition more than just cardio. However, I LOVE MY CARDIO!!!

      10. And last but not least, YOU CAN DO IT!!!

      Bests!

So I got my package Wednesday night.  I spent Wednesday and Thursday night ready and going through the system and all the tools that came with it.  Went grocery shopping tonight to make sure that I have plenty of snacks, protein and both carbs in the house so that I don't have any excuses to not follow through.  Although in the past that never stopped me.  I am excited and nervous.  I have spent so much money trying to find that thing that is going to motivate me and change my life and nothing has worked so far.  I am hoping this is it or I may just give up.  I have been working out for a year and a half and haven't lost a pound, maybe even gained some.  I just can't seem to give up my food!!!  I am an emotional eater.  I eat when I am stress, bored and anxious.  Working full time and going to school full time, does not help the stress levels and of course does not help when trying to lose weight.  I really hope this is the one!!!!

I start the program tomorrow, wish me luck!!!

      Dear FLFL family,

It has been 10 months since my last post...geez, for this Catholic girl, it sounds as if I am making a confession.  In a way, I am.

I did the FLFL system, and lost weight and inches.  I have managed to keep it off, but stopped doing the system for awhile, not doing so good with the food, but maintaining an active exercise regimen.

However, a month ago, my aunt asked me what I was doing and I showed the system to her.  Need to check in to see how she's doing on hers, but also lately I have been feeling...BLAH.  No other word for it.  So, it is time to detox for a couple weeks, and then get back to the 21 day habits.  I have just that amount of time before I am bound for Hong Kong due to work for a month, so I need to get these habits ingrained before I head overseas.

They have beautiful dishes over there, with plenty of healthy options - I chose the not so healthy options.  This time, I will be packing plenty of healthy snacks to help avoid temptation, and will watch my room service options more closely.  I will also take along my stretchy bands, so I can do those and plyometrics even when the gym is not open.

      Wish me luck friends!

  • Drum Roll Please!! Drum Roll Please!!

    • From: minda5767
    • Description:

I weighed in today and drum roll please.  I weighed in at 200.7.    It is amazing how seeing that line below 201 can boost my spirits.  With all the changes in our life this past six weeks, the plan is still working for me.  I tried on some size 16 skinny jeans and could have bought them, but let's face it, I am over 60 and skinny jeans are not my thing, but I could get in them.

This is the first time in four years, I have seen 200 as is relates to my weight going down.   I want to be at 195 by 9/2/10 which is the weight I was at when I met Ken.   My goal is 155, so I have a ways to go.  But I have gotten rid of 45 lbs of FAT and I never want it to come back.  My dog Snoopy weighs 45 lbs.  When I lift him to weigh him, I told the kids, look this is how much I have lost.  I have lost as much as Snoopy weighs!!!   That is a great visual for how far I have come.

I am so thankful to the FLFL system and Robert Ferguson for the education so I can go forward with a health lifestyle.  Even tho my life is changing (we have a 5, 6 & 13 year old living with us for the past six weeks), eating healthy works.

      Thank you.   thank you.

  • HCG Diet Gets Thumb Down HCG Diet Gets Thumb Down

    • From: RobertFerguson
    • Description:

Would you like to lose 1-2 pounds every day? That means in 30 days you could lose at least 30 pounds. Some people have a tough time believing this is true until one day – the lady at work or the family member you haven’t seen in 30 days looks absolutely amazing. Without hesitation, when you witness for yourself someone practically shrinking in front of you – you may find yourself falling prey to such diet disasters.

Whether you have done this diet or not, read on and share the good news that we don't have to fall prey to the diet blues.

Recently while traveling across country on the plan I sat next to a highly intelligent, well educated and accomplished executive who is largely responsible for some very popular movies making it to the big screen (prefer not to mention her name). Well, as soon as she discovered I was the People’s Fat Loss Coach, she was quick to ask me about the HCG Diet. Before I was able to provide a response she went on to share with me that she was already down 20 pounds and it hasn’t even been a month.

My first response was to congratulate her. Then, without me asking, she handed me the entire diet and asked if I'd look it over. I was already knowledgable of HCG, which is an abbreviation for Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin. I also knew that I didn’t agree with this diet, but kept an open mind and figured I would revisit this diet lie and read through the material and hear her experience.

I’m sure Dr. Albert T.W. Simeons who first proposed HCG injections for weight loss had good intentions, but anything that aims to curb your appetite and starve the most metabolically active cells in your body – lean muscle – is totally ridiculous and irresponsible. But again, I kept an open mind and here is the outcome.

First, when a woman eats less than 1200 calories a day, and a man 1500 – you increase the likelihood of becoming nutrient (e.g., vitamin, mineral) deficient and the majority of weight loss will be the result of lost water and the breakdown of lean muscle tissue, which slows your metabolism. When you slow your metabolism as a result of losing lean muscle tissue, you cause significant damage to your body’s ability to burn calories and you are three-times likely to gain any weight back that you lose back, plus add on a few more unwanted pounds.

Second, the HCG Diet claims to help maximize fat loss. Well, if you’re only eating 500 calories a day, you are definitely going to tap into burning off some unwanted fat. Unfortunately, you will also be letting go of (burning off) some of that all-important lean muscle tissue and causing major harm to your metabolism and ability to burn fat in the future.

Third, when a product or program promises to curb your appetite – BEWARE. Personally, I don’t want to curb my appetite. I want to enjoy the feelings of wanting to eat. The key however, is to learn how to eat… how to use food to lose fat and be healthy. If you lower your calories to 500 a day, you will experience some serious hunger pains in the beginning and like the lemonade diet (AKA master cleanse) where you eat even less than 500 calories a day – the hunger will pass and you’ll be less likely to experience feelings of deprivation. The reason for this is that you have manipulated your metabolism to operate in a very low gear, but again, you’re doing more damage than you may ever come to realize.

As my flight came to an end I asked this highly intelligent woman a question: What type of weight have you lost? She didn’t quite understand what I meant so I explained to her that when a person loses weight it may be water, lean muscle tissue, bone and of course fat. She didn’t quickly informed me that it was fat weight and I asked her how she knew that? She said she just knows and she can feel it. Her clothes fit better and she is happy with how well it’s going.

I ended the conversation by asking her if she was aware of body composition analysis. This is when you determine how much of the total body weight is lean body mass (e.g., water, muscle, blood, bone) and fat. She wasn’t sure and I explained to her that when you do this, and follow up or monitor your progress with routine body composition analysis then you will know what type of weight you’re shedding.

Our conversation came to an end and I gave her my card. In closing, I felt bad for this lady as I know she is most likely going to gain the weight back and in the future it’s going to be harder for her to lose weight. She would have been better off to jump start her weight loss with my Detox Drop and then transition into learning how to eat everyday real food and keep control of her waistline.

  • Why Detox Drop? Part 1 of 5 Why Detox Drop? Part 1 of 5

    • From: RobertFerguson
    • Description:

I created the Detox Drop for five main reasons: jump start healthy FAT LOSS, break SUGAR addictions, boost IMMUNE system and detoxify the LIVER and COLON. In this five-part series I want to share insight with you on these key reasons beginning with the liver.

      An Unhealthy Liver
An unhealthy liver can be the cause of numerous chronic illnesses and disorders to include serious fatigue, weight gain, water retention, and a host of other health woes -- whereas a healthy liver equates to an increase in energy, accelerated metabolism, and helps you burn off excess fat.

You may be surprised to know that the liver is one of the most neglected and disregarded organs in our body. Yet, it is vital in the process of protecting us from the toxins we are confronted with everyday. DID YOU KNOW that the Environmental Protection Agency estimates that half-a-million chemicals are in use today, and over five thousand new chemicals are introduced yearly?

In today’s world, our liver – all of our organs, in fact – are at great risk of contamination from environmental toxins and over-processed foods infused with many unnatural chemicals. And because we live in our environment, unless we stop breathing and wear a protective suit – the best way to protect ourselves is to take care of ourselves. And that includes taking the time to cleanse the organ that cleanses our body so that we can not only be lean and healthy on the outside, but also on the inside.

Most people know that our skin is our body’s largest organ. Well, what do you think is the largest internal organ in the human body? You guessed right. Weighing in at 3 to 4 pounds on the scale, the liver is the largest internal organ in the human body.

This complex and unique organ not only makes up a significant part of our lean body mass – it serves hundreds of functions that are crucial to sustaining life.   From filtering our blood to purifying and clearing waste products, toxins, and drugs to metabolizing fats, proteins and carbohydrates… the liver is The Great Chemical Factory that is constantly processing blood for use by the rest of our body.

To cleanse and detoxify your liver is one of the most powerful procedures you can do to enhance your body’s overall performance. And as a result of tuning up your liver, you can significantly improve digestion, regularity, food transit time, and energy levels, which is the basis of your health.

In part two I will touch on the colon. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to e-mail me as I am here to help.

      Robert Ferguson

My husband, Ron, who is a corporate pilot, just returned home from Europe yesterday evening, and he is now with the "program." We are looking forward to our healthier life together, and thanks to the FLFL system, I am positive that we are instilling sound nutritional habits and choices into our hectic lives. Tonight's menu consists of a grilled chicked gumbo made with all fresh veg and brown rice served with a tossed salad with Walden Farm's Italian vinaigrette, and accompanied by a cool, refreshing glass of Poland Springs water with a slice of zesty lemon. Does this sound like diet food to you? I think not...
